Once upon a time, like a month ago, we had lives that were very different.
For some, it meant you had a job outside the home or your partner went to work somewhere else.
Maybe you had kids in school.
Maybe you worked from home while they were out of the house.
For others, homeschooling was already part of the routine, but trying to spend hours looking for toilet paper and other basic supplies wasn’t. And losing your outside the house activities wasn’t part of the plan, either.
Maybe you’ve lost loved ones or you worry for loved ones working in the front lines.
Maybe finances are now a huge concern.
You might be worried about your freedoms being taken away or your government not doing enough to help its people.
There are so many #covid-19 stories in every family around the world right now, though it is playing out differently depending on how the people in charge are handling things. Regardless, we’re all impacted in some way.
I’m in Mexico where we’re been for almost a year. My youngest, now 16, is stuck in the US with an expired passport and no idea when things will open up again. #badtiming He’s with his dad, but this wasn’t the plan. Being here without my son sucks. When my husband was really super sick two weeks ago (and he’s in the vulnerable population), it was super scary. He’s recovered now, but it was a really hard week. I was sick for an entire month before that. It isn’t a good time to be sick right now. I think it makes it a little scarier wondering if this is THE virus or just A virus. Lack of testing makes that harder to determine.
While we can’t control what’s happening in the world outside right now, we can find new ways of finding and offering support. I have some wonderful ways you can get support, so click below to learn about them and see what might be the most helpful for you and your family.
We’ve created this page which contains many options for you to find support: https://consciouslyparenting.
