Are Your Birth Imprints Impacting Your Present-Day Relationships?

Have you ever wondered if your birth is impacting your present-day relationships?

Every one of us came into the world and were born. And each one of us has a different story in our bodies about what happened for us during our birth. You see, birth isn’t just a one and done kind of experience, as most of us have been taught. We’re not a blank slate, but a conscious, developing human who is learning from every interaction we have as we embody. And that includes the learning we do during our birth.

What do we learn?

We learn about our needs and feelings and whether they are welcomed by those caring for us as we come into the world.

We learn about whose responsibility it is to take care of us or if we are supposed to take care of others. If we felt welcomed, we learn that we are welcome in new situations.

We learn to protect ourselves or we learn how to soften into someone else’s body and receive love.

We learn whether the world is safe and friendly.

We learn whether our pace is welcomed by our family. (Were we ready to be born? Are we ready when it’s time to start something new?)

We learn whether we reach out for support when something overwhelming happens or just having a bad day. Or if you need to keep all of that to yourself.

We learn what we can expect from others and from ourselves.

Birth is relational.

Healing our birth imprints is also relational.

But if you don’t know that your birth imprints are there and impacting you, they can unknowingly cause challenges for you in your everyday relationships- with yourself (criticizing the way you show up, or don’t, in life), with your parents, with your partner, with your child, friends, co-workers…
