Hi, I am Nancy, I have been married since 1982 to Greg. We both listened to the teleconference last night and were interested in learning more. We really need to learn new ways 'cause the old ways don't work for our family. You gave us hope. BTW My 9 & 6 year old played baby several times this past year with a bottle. I thought they were fooling around, but now I wish I offered to hold them. :( We had an extended unaviodable separation and this happened after we were all back together. Today I asked the 9 year old if she wants me to cuddle her with the bottle and she said not the bottle but she would like me to hold her like a baby sometimes...."Just when I ask, though" I told my 6 year old his birth story again, but added the feelings of shock and fear of being asleep then suddenly someone reaching in and pulling him out into a cold, bright operating room. I talked about hugging him, then his father taking him to get weighed and measured. He asked how much he weighed and then he said he remembers "squeezing my eyes like this because the light hurt my eyes." Thank you so much. I look forward to learning more from you guys.
