Beyond
Consequences, Logic, and Control, written by Dr. B. Bryan Post,
LCSW and Heather T. Forbes, LCSW, upon which our Beyond
Consequences classes are based, was written with adoptive
families in mind. However, the material applies to all
families. These classes are geared specifically to families
struggling with difficult behaviors and the application of
healing relationships applies to all relationships and to all
families. If you are struggling to create connection in your
family, no matter how your family came to be, these are the
classes for you!

Level 1
- Beyond Consequences for All Families
This four-week
class gives an introduction to this alternative approach to
handling our children’s behaviors, wherever they fall on the
continuum. This approach has been used with great
success with families who have adopted children or children
who have experienced other life traumas, yet easily translates
into parenting all children from a place of love instead of
fear. You’ll learn some of the science behind this
approach, as well as develop a basic understanding of what to
do where the rubber meets the road. There will be lots
of time for questions and answers during the class and in
between classes.
